FAREWELL AT WAIHI The police constables of the Waihi district assembled at the police station on Saturday to take leave of their chief, Senior-Sergeant Mac Lean, who has been transferred to Gisborne, ihanding the sergeant a solid leather suitcase, Senior-Constable McClinchv of Paeroa, paid a tribute to the manner in which Sergeant Mac Lean had carried out his duties during his three years in this district, and thanked him for the courteous manner in which he had treated those constables who had served under him.
