EMPIRE
IVOR NOVELLO AS “THE RAT”
“The Rat,” a new film sensation, to be shown to-night at the Empire Theatre, is outstanding in many ways. but more particularly on account of the great array of feminine beauties incorporated in its great cast. Few, if any, pictures have ever had so many gorgeous women to feast the eyes as “The Rat.** Apart from its beauty appeal, “The Rat”
Ivor Novello is a tremendous dramatic sensation that will stir the emotions to the very depths. The cast is headed by Mae Marsh, Ivor Novello, and Isabel Jeans. “Bachelor Brides,” which will also be screened at the Empire Theatre tonight, is a comedy directed by William K. Howard, under the personal supervision of Cecil B. Be Mille. The scene is laid in Scotland, in a castle, on a stormy night, when crooks attempt to steal a rich pearl necklace and other articles of value. Rod la Rosqua is the star.
