RAILWAYS MAY TAKE OVER WAIHI BUSES
DEPARTMENT NEGOTIATES The Railway Department has been negotiating for some time for the acquisition of the "Waihi-Paeroa Motor Transport Company’s motor-buses. This is in accordance with the announcement of the Minister of Railways. the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, in the Railway Statement. There has been some talk of the department taking over the buses on one of the Auckland runs, but it is said that there is no likelihood of this being done.
