BOXING IN SYDNEY
HYDE DEFEATS ELMOUR By Cable. —Press Association. — CopyHght. SYDNEY, Sunday. At the Sydney Stadium last evening Jim Hyde (list 41b) won on points against Dick Elmour (list) in a 15rounds match. Hyde had the better of matters almost throughout. Elmour did well in the first five rounds, but spoilt his efforts by repeatedly hitting with tho open glove and failing to follow up his attacks. From the seventh round Hyde scored well with straight lefts, and in the last round almost knocked Elmour out with |a heavy right to the chin. Hyde finished , with a comfortable margin in his favour.—A. and N.Z.
