“KATINKA” A SUCCESS

HAMILTON AMATEURS The Hamilton Amateui Operatic Society’s season of “Katinka,” which was brought to a close on Saturday evening, realised over £BOO. Of this sum £IOO will go to the Mayor's unemployed relief fund. “Katinka” is voted one of the most successful productions yet staged by the society. Mr. E. Bouillon, president of the society, thanked the performers, produrer and all concerned. Many presentations were made and tributes paid to the orchestral conductress, Mrs. H. C. Ross. The producer, Mr. A. E. Manning, returned thanks on behalf of the company. “I am extremely gratified with the result of the season,” he said. Several members of the Auckland Operatic were present at the last performance.
