SOMERVILLE HOCKEY TEAM DEFEATS WAIPA REPS.

(From Our Own Correspondent) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday

In a fast and interesting hockey match played at Albert Park to-day, the Waipa representatives were beaten by the Sommerville Club, winners of the Auckland senior championship, by 4 goals to 1. The visitors showed better combination throughout, and in the first two minutes, E. Watts scored an easy goal. This was followed almost immediately bj' C. Watts also scoring. Just before half-time C. Watts again scored. After the second spell had been in progress for ten minutes, H. Andrew scored for Waipa. Just on the call of time H. Watts scored Sommerville’s fourth goal.
