HIGHLAND DANCING SOCIETY’S CONCERT

The Highland and National Dancto, Society gave its first concert on SntS. day evening in St. James’s Hal] Wen' ington Street. Among the adult performers were Miss Gregg, Miss Gordon and Mr Kingston, who sang. The KaUern Sisters and Miss Gwen McNaughton gave dance selections. Two ballet*, arranged by Miss Lilian O’Leary, we« well received. The remainder of the programme consisted of juvenile entertainers. among whom were the following:—Rosalie Daniels, Glayds Anderson, Joy Lodder, Ruby 'Willis, Molly Kerswell. Rhoda and Olive Evans, Patricia Boyle, Loma Kay, Joy Simon, Kathleen Boyle, Wilma and Daphne Lockwood, Gladys Cain, Olga Elsmore, Pattie Lovell and May Ackerstein. During the evening a number of medals and prizes were also awarded. Mrs. Boyle played the accompaniments assisted by Miss O’Leary, who supervised most of the dancing during the evening.
