KILLED BY WIRELESS
BOY AMATEUR’S DEATH While mending a wireless set at his home in Newport, Monmouthshire, a boy of 14, Ronald Williams, was electrocuted. The set was in his bedroom and he had placed the tension flex of the electric table lamp in his mouth, while his hand rested on an iron bed-post. This caused the current to be circulated through his body. Fie received a shock of about 200 volts, and died almost immediately from burns. When he was found, the only signs of electrocution were some burns on his lips, where the flex had been.
