THIS WEEK’S WORK ARBITRATION AMENDMENT DUE /THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Parliament may be expected to make good progress with Government business this week now that the tariff question has been sot out of the way. The Public Works Statement probably will make its appearance during the next few days, together with amendments to the Industrial Conciliation c.nd Arbitration Act. This evening a number of reports of Select Committees and reports on amendments made by the Legislative Council to the Counties Amendment Bill, Legislature Amendment Bill and War Disabilities Removal Bill, are likely to be considered, It is understood that there may appear very shortly a Bill to amend the Slaughtering and Meat Inspection Act, altering the existing law to enable local bodies to raise loans to carry out additions and alterations to abattoirs without taking a poll of ratepayers.
