PRODUCTION RETURNS (From Our Own CorrespondentJ DARGAVILLK, To-day. Some idea of what the Northern Wairoa is capable of producing in he way of butter-fat is evidenced by the' yield from a farm of 80 acres of river flats, from which a supplier to the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company' last year, with 85 cows took 20,6001 b of butter-fat, yielding in hard cash £ 1,245. Taken year* by vear hie returns were as follows: Co'mmencini in 1921-22 with 3S heifers, the yield was 6.5001 b: 1922-23, 5,3001 b; 1923-M 11.0001 b; 1924-25, 14,0001 b; IS’S-'e 16.0001 b: 1926-27. 20,6001 b. Top-dressing was used in the years 1925-26 and 1926-27, and the herd has increased in six years from 38 to 85.
