WOMAN CONFESSES MURDER OF HUSBAND
STRANGE TRAGEDY— I “TRIED TO RUN ME DOWN WITH HIS MOTOR-CAR” By Cable.- — Press Association. Copyright SYDNEY, Friday. A tragic affair is reported from Inverell, 340 miles north of Sydney. Mr. Norman Hoey, a shearing contractor, was shot dead while he was sitting in a motor-car in the street. The victim's wife was subsequently charged with murder. In a statement to the police she said she had been living apart from her husband for three years. She asserted that she did not receive justice in Court when she recently sued him, alleging that he had tried to run her down in a motorcar. The woman said she had shot her husband to protect herself.—A. and N.Z.
