THE FLYING FILLY

THE runaway success of Childsplay in the McLean Stakes at Wingatui on Thursday shows that the South Sea Island has at least one brilliant youngster. The filly is among those engaged in the Welcome Stakes at Trentham on Saturday next, and the meeting with the North Island’s leading youngsters will serve to show just ibow good Childsplay is. Those listed in the Wellesley Stakes include Freehold, Endorse, Prince Humphrey, Raasay, Tea Miss and Knightlike. The contest will undoubtedly throw further light on the interesting question of two-year-old supremacy.
