THE POLAR BEAR
It’s no fun being a polar bear—nothing but great lumps of ice to sit on, summer or winter. Ice is all right in the summer time, of course, when you’re hot all over, especially if it is flavoured with vanilla or strawberry —but in winter, br-r-r. And there always seems to be more ice in winter, just when you don’t want it. And nobody ever thinks of warming it for the poor old polar bear to sit on. No, it’s no fun being a polar bear. —Sent in by Clifford Bowrey.
