Mechanical traction has made tremendous inroads upon the domain of the draught horse, both in town and country, but there is little chance of the Clydesdale dying out in the Dominion. Recently the annual parade of sires was held by the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and the picture shows the line of horses drawn up for judging. Wills and Watson’s Lord Brilliant was placed at the head of the procession.
