WEST COAST JUBILEE

GREY DISTRICT NAMES WANTED G.reymouth and its district will celebrate the diamond jubilee of the borough from February 26 to March 3 next. As the history of the area has been closely associated with “black diamonds” the description of the jubilee is considered particularly appropriate. An endeavour is being made by the committee organising the carnival to establish a record of early residents and ex-West Coasters (Grey district), and any assistance that can be given by residents of Auckland will be appreciated. Particulars should be sent to Mr. C. H. Rose, at Greymouth.
