NEW CHILDREN’S HOME

SOUTH ISLAND PROPOSAL Press Association. WELLINGTON, Friday. The New Zealand Baptist Church Union Conference was continued today. The young men’s and young women’s Bible classes were reported to be in a sound position. The work of the Manurewa Children’s Home was highly praised, and attention was called to the fact that the amount subscribed by the churches to its maintenance was 32 per cent, less than in the previous year, which was less than that of 1924-25. A resolution was passed that a similar home should be established in the South Island. A committee was set up for the purpose. The finances of the Baptist College in Auckland were in a sound position.
