Guarantee Corporation. —The annual meeting of shareholders in the New Zealand Guarantee Corporation was held in Wellington yesterday. Sir Joseph Ward, who presided, stated that despite unfavourable trading conditions the company had had a most satisfactory year. The reserves now totalled £20,000, and the losses incurred since the business commenced amounted to £620. This represented only one twenty-third of 1 per cent, of the money advanced. Messrs. T. M. Wilford and G. W. Magnus were re-elected to the directorate. New Companies. —Yesterday three new companies were registered in Auckland. Details are:—T. L. Alfred Buckland and Sons notify the sale at the Pukekohe yards on Tuesday, October 25, of 300 dairy cows and heifers, 200 head beef, 1,000 head store cattle, a pedigree Jersey bull, and 500 pigs. Mr. George Walker has been instructed by the official assignee to sell by public auction at his rooms, 38 Queen Street, on Monday next, at 11 a.m., a large; assortment of general groceries in a bankrupt estate.
