NAVAL OCCASIONS

DUNEDIN GOES SOUTH TRIP TO AKAROA (THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The authorities apparently felt that the dangers of the situation in the Solomon Islands was not of sufficient magnitude to justify the fears of those at the Islands and the cruiser Dunedin, which was hurriedly diverted to Auckland at the week-end, is to resume her Southern visit to-mor-row. The cruiser is to go to Akaroa and she will execute manoeuvres in Southern waters with H.M.S. Diomede during the coming week.
