CITRUS FRUIT-GROWERS
CONFERENCE AT TAURANGA REPRESENTATIVE GATHERING (From Our Own Corespondent J TAURANGA, Thursdajr. Delegates from the Auckland Fruitgrowers’ Association conferred with the Tauranga Citrus Fruit Association at Tauranga to-day. The following were present: Messrs. S. W. House, president of the Auckland Fruitgrowers Council and Auckland Citrus Association, Mr. G. A. Green, secretary of the Auckland Fruitgrowers’ Council, Mr. S. H. Izard, secretary Auckland Citrus Association, Messrs. Sturgess, Lambton and Wilkinson, members of the committee, Mr. W. H. Rice, inspector for Auckland, and Mr. H. S. Howell, manager of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation. The Tauranga Association was represented by Messrs. Davidson, Mountfort, Bryan, Benjamin, Chater, A. and M. Mjtyfteld, Joseph, Pattie, Jackson and Bartlett. During the morning the visitors were taken to several orchards and Mr. House expressed surprise at their size and condition, and said they were the best he had seen in the Dominion. In the afternoon delegates assembled in the Borough Council Chambers for a conference, Mr. House presiding.
