CITY STANDS ALONE ON TOWN-PLANNING
HHHE CITY COUNCIL last evenA ing decided to appoint its own town-planning committee. The Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, said tho city area was quite big enough to engage their attention, and the outside areas could combine and do their share. The following committee was set up: Crs. s>. I. Crookes, chairman, Ellen Melville, J. Dempsey, J. A. C. Allum, A. J. Entrican, L. A. Eady, A. J. Stall wort Fy, Kealy, with Professor Knight, the chairman of the Auckland Town-Planning Association, and the president of the Auckland branch of the institute of Surveyors. WWW)WW SK 3E 8$ 'tWW:
