EDENDALE CINEMA
“EVENING CLOTHES” Malcolm Waite, one of the giants among Hollywood film actors, plays the part of Dan Bell, leader of the desperadoes In “The Broncho Twister,*' Fox Films latest release starring Tom Mix,, now showing at the Edendale Cinema. He and Mix give the screen a short but fast fight that marks one of the high spots in the careers of both of these actors. In spite of Waite’s immense bulk, Mix wins the rough and tumble fight and saves Paulita Brady, the heroine. Helene Costello, Span-ish-Irish beauty, has the part of Paulita. In his newest Paramount starring vehicle, “Evening Clothes,” which will also be shown to-night, Adolphe Menjou adopts a. beard and plays the country gentleman in the French manner. After three? years in Hollywood, where- his services have been much in demand, Henry Victor has returned to London, looking quite fit, although he sustained some pretty severe injuries during the filming of “The Beloved Rogue’ with John Barrymore. We hope British film producers will take an early opportunity of signing him up. If these returning film prodigals are treated to the proverbial fatted calf, it may encourage others to follow them home a,gain.
