VAGRANT ROBBED GAOL FOR DRINKING FRIEND When Charles Purdy, vagrant, was drinking with George Thornham, aged 28, he lost 7s 6d. THORNHAM pleaded giilty at the Police Court to-day to charges of drunkenness and theft. Senior-Sergeant McCartl y said that accused was drinking with Purdy, a vagrant, yesterday and stol<2 the money from him. Accused had a long list and had just come out of gaol. He was sentenced to oie month’s imprisonment.
