Mace Train Arrangements.—Particulars of issue of holiday excursion tickets and train arrangements in connection with the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting on October 15 and 19, are advertised in this issue.

Otehuhu Building.—For the 24 months ending September 30, the total value of the buildings erected in Otahuhu reached over £205,000, a striking proof of the growth of this popular southern suburb.

Railway Time-Table Alterations.— The Railway Department advertise in this issue particulars of time-table alterations on the Frankton, Thames and Rotorua lines operating on and after Monday, October 17.

Place for Conventions. —Speaking at the meeting of the North Shore Expansion League at Milford last evening, Mr. J. Williamson, Mayor of Takapuna, urged that every institution holding a convention in Auckland should be invited to have the convention assemble at the North Shore, which could offer very fair facilities. In 1924, when he Passed through San Francisco, there nad been 104 conventions held in the city in the year, bringing over half a million visitors, and all of them spent jnoney in the town. Another place had hcen the locale of over 400 conventions.
