It was resolved that the Congress should concentrate o- securing the
domination of all labour, industrial, and political bodies with a view to dealing with those renegade politicians who desired the railwaymen to handle “black” goods during the strike, and to take steps to oppose all such alleged Labour representatives. /* further resolution declared that the action of the Queensland Premier, Mr. McCormack, in locking out the railwaymen, was a direct violation of a vita! principle of the Labour movement, and that the Government was not worthy of the confidence of the workers. The Congress also decided to ask the Central Labour Executive to convene a conference for the purpose oj. disciplining Labour politicians.—A. and N.Z.
