NEWS AND NOTES At the monthly meeting of the club, held last Tuesday evening, it was decided to hold a gymkhana and motorcycle show on October 22, at the Epsom Show Grounds, and a hill climb on October 29. There was a great deal of discussion regarding a clubroom, and it was finally resolved that members keep a look-out for a suitable room and report to t ie committee. DONATION OF MEDAL Club members will in future have a medal to compete for, kindly donated by Mr. McLeod, of the Harp of Eirin benzine station. The medal is to be donated to the most punctual rider of the best-kept machine. Mr. McLeod has evidently observed the late starters at the various club runs and his idea will no doubt result in keen competition to be first on the spot. * * * The motor-cycle is certainly the most economical form of mechanical transport. The new model 496 o.c. two-port New Hudson is described by the “Motor-cycle”- as a “really silent overhead valve machine.” * * 4 Recent events have proved beyond a shadow of doubt that motor-cycle racing is the only sport in which Great Britain is absolutely supreme.
