Mrs. Darwin Cook and Mrs. Leo Horroeks motored to Auckland from New Plymouth during the week-end. Mrs. J. E. P. Peter, of Geraldine, came to Auckland to meet her sister, Mrs. P. Haines, of Timaru, on her return from England. Mrs. A. M. Ferguson, Mrs. C. H. Furness and Miss E. Robertson are leaving for Wellington this evening to attend the Dominion conference of the League of Mothers, of which Lady Alice Fergusson is Dominion president. • * • Mr. and Mrs. W. PI. Bartlett returned from Sydney by the Marama this morning. Lowry, of Hawke’s Bay, who are In Auckland to meet Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Lowry on their return from England, will leave for their home in Hastings by tonight’s express.
