' PAKIEHA’S PROGRAMME.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company now advises that the steamer Fakeha leaves Timaru to-day for Port Chalmers, thence Lyttelton and Wellington, to complete her loading for Home. She is to sail finally from Wellington on October 28 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. GERMAN NAVY CO LO U RS.-— Trials are being made by the German Navy with new colours for torpedo craft. The newest vessels of this class will have a green-grey colour, which is more like the colour of the North Sea than the silver grey which has been used until now by the German Navy If the experience obtained with this colour is good, it will be used for all naval craft. Black will not be used again as a colour for torpedo-craft.
