ROADING POLICY
URGED IN WAIPA COUNTY A definite roading policy was urged upon the Waipa County Council by a deputation from the Farmers’ Union yesterday. It was contended that the Highways Board concentrated on the interests of pleasure-seekers and preference should be given to the interests of settlers in the country. Commercial vehicles also used the god roads running parallel with the railways, and thus robbed the revenue.
