NEW SALEYARDS OPENED (From Our Own Correspondent) TUAKAU, To-day. Buyers from all parts of the district assembled at Tuakau yesterday, when the pig saleyards erected by Alfred Buckland and Sons were officially opened. Situated in Dominion Road, they are concreted throughout, and designed to hold a large yarding of pigs. The entry at yesterday’s opening sale was approximately 400 pigs. Bacon pigs equalled the ruling prices, while porkers showed a firming tendency. Store pigs and young pigs also sold well. Heavy baconers made up to £3 8s; medium-weight baconers, £2 13s to £3; porkers, £2 5s to £2 12s; choppers, £3 to £3 15s; stores, 35s to £2; slips, 25s to 30s; weaners, 14s to 255,
