KING COUNTRY LICENCES
MAORI CHIEF OPPOSED A King Country chief, Warehuia Rangihuia, has made a strong protest against Bishop Cherrington’s advocacy of the introduction 'of liquor licences into the King Country. He claimed that the pact with the Government was a sacred one and was still binding. In the course of a statement at Morrinsville 'Wharehuia declared his intention of replying to the Bishop in a public address at Hamilton during October.
