BOWLING AND CROQUET BALL
CLEVEDON CLUB FUNCTION
The annual ball of the Clevedon Bowling and Croquet Club was held in the Clevedon Hall on Friday evening, when the large attendance taxed the capacity of the hall to its utmost. The hall was gaily decked with bril-liantly-coloured pennants and bunting, with streamers and balloons adding to the bright effect. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mesdames McNicol, Stevens, Rattray and Miss Bow, while Miss Bow and Miss Stokes supplied a number of very pleasing extras. The duties of M.C.’s were carried out by Messrs. McCullough and Brown. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies of the Croquet Club, and much appreciated by the large gathering. Vocal items were contributed by Mrs. W- Stevens, Miss ..Alport, Messrs. C. C. Munro, A. Bell and Alport, and elocutionary items by Mr. O’Hara. Among those present were: Mrs. A. Bell, in a handsome gown of black silk crepe relieved with biscuit and gold. Mr. C. C. Munro, dainty fawn lame gown trimmed with ivory. Mrs. McCullough, gown of navy crepe faille, with primrose trimmings. Mrs. Graham, gown of boise de rose crepe faille trimmed with fawn. Mrs. Hyde, navy crepe de chine gown relieved with white. Mrs. McKenzie, black crepe de chine , gown with Oriental trimmings. Mrs. R. Forbes, gown of apple green crepe de chine. Mrs. Duder, handsome gown of parma violet pannet velvet with touches of Oriental embroidery. Mrs. H. Munro, ash rose silk crepe gown with fawn insets. Mrs, Grant, gown of ivory crepe de chine. , . Mrs. Quinn, wild rose crepe de chine gown. Mrs. Rattray, gown of lettuce green crepe de chine. Mrs. Gallaher, Buchess blue crepe de chine gown. Mrs. Alport, gown of black taffeta with lacquer red applique. Mrs. McNicol, black silk maroeain gown trimmed with lace. Mrs. W. Stevens, gown of black panne velvet with panels of lace. Mrs. Morrison, black crepe de chine gown relieved with moonlight blue. Mrs. Gow, gown of prunelle crepe de chine. Mrs. H. Munro, jun., lettuce green crepe de chine, inset with primrose lace. Mrs. J. Luke, gown of blush pink crepe de chine. Mrs. Campbell, frock of floral georgette. Mrs. Byres,' Nile green crepe de chine gown with fawn relief. Mrs. Waterhouse, smart frock of black ninon. Miss Alport, frock of apple green crepe de chine. Miss Shaw; frock of wild rose georgette. Miss McCullough, shell pink crepe de chine frock. Miss Holden, smart frock of mulberry silk. Miss Alport, frock of golden brown panne velvet. Miss Walsh, black beaded velvet frock. Miss Brown, frock of buttercup crepe de chine. Miss McPherson, frock of wisteria mauve crepe de chine. Miss M. Stevens, frock of prunella crepe de chine, with Oriental trimmings. Miss G. Stevens, frock of rose and gold tissue. Miss Wood, frock of cameo pink georgette. Miss Wallis, frock of navy romaine, relieved with cream. Miss O. McPherson, frock of coral crepe de chine. Miss Morrison, frock of cherry red georgette and cream shawl. Miss H. Hyde, frock of orchid pink prepe de chine. Miss I. Hyde, frock of lace over apricot silk. Miss Carey, frock of flamingo satin with motifs of silver lace. Miss Munro, frock of gooseberry georgette. Mjss Bell, periwinkle blue crepe de chine frock. Miss Graham, frock of primrose crepe faille. Miss Waters, frock of pussy willow ninon. Miss Waterhouse, lacquer red panne velvet frock.
