ANOTHER MOTOR-CAR STOLEN AND BURNED
TENTH IN JSIX MONTHS! ABANDONED AT MANGERE About seven o’clock on Saturday evening Captain Pierotti, superintendent of the Northern Steamship Company, left his home. Bell Road, Remu—era, in his six—sea ter touring car, drove to the city and parked the car in Quay Street. When he returned three hours later the car was missing and he reported the theft to the police. Shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday the remains of the car were found at Mangere where it had been abandoned. This is the tenth car to be stolen and burned in Auckland since April. The car was insured, but as new equipment was added only last week the owner suffers a serious loss.
