WHANGAREI SWIMMING
ANNUAL CLUB MEETING At the annual meeting of the Whangarei Swimming Club, the retiring president, Mr. J. S. Dent, said the cit.b was in a very satisfactory position. The school baths had been built short, and the club had undertaken to And ±llOO towards building it to standard size. This amount had been paid in during the year in addition to £ls 15s spent in erecting electric light poles, to enable the club to hold evening carnivals. Three carnivals had been successfully run during the season. each one returning a substantial profit. ELECTION OF OFFICERS The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Mr. W. Jcnes, M.I 1 ., was re-elected patron; president, Mr. K. G. M. Kelly; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. L. J. Brake. J. W. Hcllis, Wyngate Mullis and W. G. Dudley; secretary, Mr. C. D. Moloney; treasurer. Mr. W. J. Blennerhassett; auditor. Sir. A. Fairlie; captain and vicecaptain, left to executive to elect; executive, Messrs. K. G. M. Kelly, W. tC. Jack, G. S. Reid, H. J. Greebe, A. Nicholls, W. J. Dudley, Wyngate Mullis and- a nominee from the Ladies’ Swimming Club.
