LIVERPOOL REPERTORY SEASON OPENS

H E Liverpool Repertory Theatre, under the direction of William Armstrong has opened its 17th autumn season, with/ a Welsh comedy by D. T. Davies, entitled “The Barber and the Cow,” preceded by a new one-act play by A. P. ' Herbert, “Two Gentlemen of Soho.” The second * production will be Murray McClymont’s “The Mannoch Family,” produced at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre last spring. This will be fo lowed by Bernard Shaw’s “Heartbreak House.” Among other plays to be produced during the season are Sierra’s “The Cradle Song,” Galsworthy’s “Loyalties,” and plays by St. John Ervine, James Gregson, and the late Harold Brighouse. Several new one-act plays will be performed for the first t me.
