PAPERS DELIVERED EACH EVENING

SUN’S EFFICIENT SERVICE

The gradual encroachment upon time and space by modern methods of transport is instanced in no better manner than by the delivery of THE SUN at Rotorua upon the night of issue.

Leaving Auckland at 3.15 p.m. dailv (Sundays included), the cars connect at Hamilton at 6.15 p.m. with the Hamilton-Rotorua branch of the service, depositing papers and passengers at the thermal wonderland at 10.30 p.m.

The distribution of THE SUN at the Rotorua end is undertaken by Mr. F. White, hairdresser, tobacconist and news agent, Tutanekai Street, who effects delivery at Rotorua homes before breakfast each morning.

The benefits of THE SUN service system are also extended to visitors, arrangements being in force whereby on application to Mr. White a copy of THE SUN may be sent up to each guest at any of the hotels with the morning tea. Needless to state this is a privilege that is largely availed of.

In addition to the papers delivered at farms and settlements en route, deliveries extending almost to the Opotiki boundary and deep into the Taupo country are handled from the Rotorua end.

That THE SUN service is getting the news first and getting it out first is greatly appreciated in the Rotorua district is indicated by the weight of papers carried. In fulfilment of the promise made, a winter service has been completely maintained. Despite

bad roading condition, aggravated b an unusually wet season, THE SUN has never failed to go through. In addition to THE SUN news service, Mr. White also gives person, supervision to his up-to-date hafdressing and tobacconist’3 establirt merit, centrally situated in To tankai Street. The saloon is condncut on modern lines and a lull range a’ tobacco, cigarettes and smokers’ is quisites is carried.
