CAPITOL
“A KISS IN A TAXI” Few comedies have come to the screen during the past 12 months that can compare in plot interest or swiftness with “A Kiss in a Taxi,” Bebe Daniels’s new Paramount starring picture, now showing at the Capitol
Theatre. In it the vivacious comedienne plays Ginette, bewitching ' waitress of the Parisian Montmartre. All patrons seek to kiss her, but she is untouchable, answering each advance with a fresh shower of glassware. Chester Conklin, Maraval,
treasurer of the Artists’ Society, has one of the best opportunities of his long moustached career. “A Kiss in a Taxi” bears the stamp of sterling comedy, not only because of its cast, but also due to the capable direction it received from director Clarence Badger. Another Paramount feature film, “Cabaret,” starring Gilda Gray, will also be shown this evening at the Capitol Theatre.
