OAMARU J.C. SET SAIL WINS CUP Press Association. OAMARU, To-day. The Oamaru Jockey Club commenced its spring meeting to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. Results: SPRING HURDLES HANDICAP li miles PROJECTOR, 10.13 1 CLONTARF, 9.6 2 BEAUTY LIGHT, 9.7 3 Captain Sarto was the only other starter. Won by a length and a-half, the same distance between second and third. NOVICE STAKES 5 furlongs ATTRACT 1 AMORIST, 8.10 2 MISS MARCO, 8.10 3 Won by two lengths, half a length between second and third. OAMARU CUP HANDICAP 14 miles 1— SET SAIL, 9.2 1 S—TABOO, 8.3 2 2 SOLFERITE, 8.11 3 Scr.: Rapier, Goosestep, Cornstalk, Fairy Tidings and Lucy Locket. Won by two lengths, three lengths between second and third.
