The death is announced of Mr. Charles Morris Woodford, C.M.G , formerly British Resident Commissioner in the Solomon Islands.—A. and N.Z.Sun Charles Morris Woodford was bern at Gravecend in 1852. He was a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and was awarded the Gill Memorial in 1890 for travels and exploration in the Solomon Islands. He was acting-consul and deputy-commissioner in Samoa in 1895, and Resident Commissioner in the Solomon Islands from 1896 to 1914.
