Mr. E. G. Faulkiner arrived from the South on the Limited this morning. Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, Mayor of Te Kuiti, is staying at the Hotel Ca-gen. Major A. P. Gray, of County Armagh, Ireland, is staying at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. E. D. McLennan, M.P., arrived fi-om Wellington by the Limited this morning. Dr. A. W. Izard was a passenger by the Limited from Wellington this morning. Mr. W. Luke, of Scales Pacific, Ltd. Wellington, arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited. The Rev. G. Budd and the Rev. D. D. Scott were among the passengers who arrived from Wellington this morning. Mr. B. C. Housley, chief traffic clerk, Auckland railways, returned this morning from an official visit to Taihape. Mr. Albert Spencer, president of the Auckland Employers’ Association, returned from Wellington this morning. Lieut.-Colonel F. Symon, C.M.G., D. 5.0.. Director of Artillery, who has been visiting Rotorua, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. L. A. Mander, late director of the Workers' Educational Association, left ty the Ulirnaroa to-day for Sydney, en route to the United States. He is to t ake up a position at the University of Washington. Major-General R. Young. C. 8., C.M.G., D. 5.0., Officer Commanding the Mew Zealand Forces, returned by train to Wellington last evening. In the Legislative Council yesteiday Sir William Hall-Jones, whoso second term has expired and who has been re-appointed for a further term, was sworn in. Passengers by the Aorangl, which hail left Suva for Auckland, include Sir Charles and Lady Holdsworth, Sir William and Lady Brunton (.Melbourne) Mr. T. H.
