FAREWELL PARTY AT IE AWAMUTU
The members of St. John’s Guild ai d Choir, Te Awamutu, assembled at “Otawhao,” the; residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. Y. Collins, on Tuesday to bid farewell to Mrs. E. T. Crump, who has been a valued member for over four years. The Rev. R. H. Trill, in making the presentation of a beautif j 1 china tea set and Doulton sandwich dish, spoke in the highest terms of Mrs. Crump's help and constant attention to both duties, and stated her place would be hard to fill. She was not going far away, her future home being at Hamilton. In acknowledging the gifts. Mrs. Ciump said it had been a pleasure to assist the church in any way. During the afternoon recitations were given by Mr. Trill, songs by Misses Dunkley and Norman, Mesdames Dunn. Osborne and Mr. J. T. North; duets by Mrs. Locke and Miss Norman: part-songs by members of the choir. Mrs. J. T North and Mr. Trill played the accompaniments.
