DANCE AT PUHUNUI
FINAL HUNT CELEBRATION At the invitation of Mrs. W.. McLaughlin, Puhunui, Papatoetoe, about fifty couples assembled in the homestead of the estate on Wednesday night, and spent a delightfully gay evening. The guests of the evening included some of the hostess’s many hunting friends and those residents of the district who are interested in hunting. Included in the number were many of the owners of the property over which the club has hunted during the season. The gay assembly joyously celebrated the closing of another hunting season. The early part of the evening was devoted to dancing to the music supplied by Mr. and Miss Walker, while Miss K,. Waters supplied, a couple of very pleasing extras. After a dainty supper had been served, the gathering joined in melodies of the hunt, and the final celebration of the 1927 hunting seasoti terminated in the early hours of the morning. Mrs. Sutton, Manawatu, pansy taffeta gown. Mrs. Watkins, gown of grass-green silk faille. Mrs. Kelsey, pretty frock of larkspur blue ninon. Mrs. Roy Harris, dainty frock of coral pink crepe de chine. Mrs. Yates, shrimp georgette frock with drapiiigs of lace. Mrs. Jameson, dainty frock of maize ninon and shawl. Mrs. Rutherford, gown of black ninon. Mrs. Grierson, embroidered Venetian blue georgette. Mrs. P. H. Smith frock of moss-rose silk georgette. Mrs. R. Smith, almond green taffeta frock. Mrs. Humphries frock of black crepe de chine. Miss Wood, frock of cornflower blue crepe faille. Miss Bullock, Webster, dainty frock of ashes of roses crepe, and lace overdress. Miss E. Lloyd smart frock of black and crimson crepe de chine. Miss Martin, frock of lilac ninon. Miss Ina McCardle, dainty frock of ecru lace, with rosebud trimmings. Miss Dot Weston, frock of Alice blue taffeta. Miss Concie Martin, rose floral ninon frock. Miss Molly TTpton, pretty frock of periwinkle blue charmeuse. Miss A. Walker frock of vermilion red georgette. Miss Phil Weston, dainty frock of iris mauve lace and georgette. Miss Sladden, apricot georgette frock. Miss M. Ferguson, silver and black crepe faille. Miss Niccol, smart frock in black crepe de chine. Miss H. Bewes, shaded rose silk crepe Miss Stewart frock of ciel blue and silver tissue. Miss G. Crookes, smart black silk frock. Miss K. Waters, dainty frock of pompadour red georgette. . , Miss Green, wild rose georgette, witli gold embroideries.
