CAR STRIKES CYCLIST RIDER’S BACK INJURED (From Our Oxen Correspondent) PUKEKOHE, Thursday. An Auckland-Hamilton service car driven by Mr. T. J. Brown, of Auckland, and a motor-cycle ridden by Mr. T. R. Whitcom -e, of Drury, figured in a collision about half a mile on ti e Hamilton side of Mercer this evening. It appears that both vehicles were travelling southwards, and that the rider of the cycle slowed dpwn to speak to the driver of an approaching vehicle, when the impact took place, the rider being thrown from his mount, receiving rather severe lacerations to his back. When the car was brought to a stnddstll Mr. Whitcombe was to a standstill Mr. Whitcombe w;is conveyed him to Pukekohe, where he was attended by Dr. L. J.
