Paramount production, arrives at the Capitol Theatre tonight. “Cabaret” is an unusual cross-sec-tion of an unusual town. Gilda, the star of a midnight show, is loved by a detective and hounded by a gang leader who has a mysterious; hold on her young brother. « w .. n ..„ The production reaches its high point when the boy shoots his Nemesis In self-defence, and Gilda half-dances, half-carries the* wounded youth through a crowd of revellers out the front door and on to—well, that will be disclosed when “Cabaret” is shown. Tom Moore, hero of “The Song and Dance Man,** and “A Kiss for Cinderella,’' is the detective. Chester Conklin and Mona Palma also have leading roles. “A Kiss in a Taxi,” featuring Bebe Daniels, will also be screened to-night at the Capitol Theatre. Another recent stage convert to the screen :is Harry Tate, who will make a series of feature comedies. The first of these will be based on his famous vaudeville sketch, “Motoring.”
