BELLAMY’S LEMONS

(THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. \ FTER the House of Represen* '‘ 4 *' tatives had discussed for several hours the merits of the Government's desire to protect New Zealand lemon growers, Mr. H. E. Holland, Leader of the Opposition, embarrassed the Minister in Charge of the Legislature Department, the Hon. W. Nosworthy, and amused the galleries by waving aloft, for the edification of members, the wrapper from a lemon used in Bellamy’s bar, and bearing, in prominent characters, the brand of a Californian firm from which the fruit was purchased. “While we bring down a tariff to protect New Zealand lemons,” Mr. Holland said, “we find in Bellamy's lemons from California, and even so far away as Italy, where Mr. Mussolini lives”’ W’&'WWXz &&& rh
