THE SUN’S CHRISTMAS NUMBER pOR il:s 1927 Christmas Number THE BUN is seeking original and hitherto unpublished short stories and verse. We are offering attractive rewards for the three best performances in each section. We tope with our 1927 Christmas Number to create new records, and are offering the following prizes: SHORT STORIES First Prize .. £lO 10 0 Second Prize £5 5 0 Third'. Prize .. £3 S 0 POEMS First Prize .. £} .{ 0 Second Prize .. £3 S 0 Third Prize .. £3 2 0 Two guineas will be paid for each short story that is published (other than prize-winning efforts). The maximum length for stories is 2,500 words. The decision of the Editor will be Anal. Manuscript should, if possible, he typed and forwarded to the Editor, THE SUN. 42 Wyndham Street, Auckland, in a flat package clearly marked “Christmas Competitions.’’ The last folio sticuld contain the name and address of the competitor. Stamps must be enclosed for return in the event of copy being unsuitable. Entries close on November 26.
