BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL
GRANGE RD. ANNUAL MEETING The progress of the Grange Road Baptist Sunday School was referred to optimistically by the Rev. A. S. Wilson at its annual meeting on Tuesday evening. He urged the importance of visitation by the teachers in order to strengthen the bonds with parents. Mr. R. S. Abel presided over a good attendance. Mr. F. Wooller read the 24th annual report. The total roll strength of the school was 265, made up as follows Teachers 33, Bible classes 64, intermediate 68, primary 54, cradle roll 46. The Junior C.E. also showed much efficiency with a membership of over 50. Seventeen scholars had joined the church and six had become teachers during the year. Twenty-eight out of 33 teachers were church members, and 17 scholars had decided for the Christian life. Mr. R. S. Whit marsh read the trea surer’s statement, which showed that, exclusive of the Bible classes, £49 10s lid had been received and the credit balance was £5 2s. The election of officers resulted:— President, Rev. A. S. Wilson; superintendent, Mr. R. S. Abel; secretary, Mr F. Wooller; assistant secretary, Mr.' H. Marshall; treasurer, Mr. R. S. Whit marsh; librarian. Mrs. Greenwood; assist ant librarian, Mr. J. C. Hill; primary department leader, Mrs. F. Wooller; primary secretary, Mr. E. Merrall; school visitor, Mrs. F. E. Kretschmar; Junior C.E. leader, Mr. B. M. Wilson; cradle roll superintendent, Miss E. Abel, auditor, Mr. A. Lawrence; Sunday school delegates. Messrs. Kretschmar and Wool ford.
