At the end of the first 18 holes in *i, e final of the New Zealand ladies’ tolt championship, Mrs. Collinson, p-xlmersto n North, was six up on Miss ei culling* Auckland. The match is ovet 2»6 holes. Mrs. Collinson played a remarkably stefcdV game, but Miss Culling was not ‘ to her usual standard. On the creens the local player was better, this accounting by a big measure for her first hole was halved, but Miss Culling took the next. The game was squared at the fourth. Mrs. Collinson secured the lead at the sixth hole, and at the turn she was three up. playing the better game. Mrs. Collinson increased her advantage. winning the 11th, 13th, 15th and 18th holes, the 10th, 12th, 14th and 2*th being halved, Miss Culling winning only one hole, the 17th. Mrs. Collinson’s score was 80, one over bogey, and Miss Calling's 89.
