PREPARING FOR CRICKET SEASON
A.C.A. FIRST MEETING THE NEW COMMITTEE A: the first meeting for the* 192728 season of the Management Committee of the Auckland Cricket .Association, held last night, the following were present:—Messrs. E. E. Xaflder, .1. H. Watts. D. V. Moore, J. Mjller, R. Dow, J. W. Bennett, H. Horotoool, W. J. Smeeton, E. C. Beale, It. T. <'oates, N. C. SneddeiU. R. B. Lusk and N. E. H. Hoc-kin (secretary). Mr. balder was re-elacted chairman. It was unanimously decide*! o r*oapt Mr. L. H. Saxmfiors as a member of the committee. Eulogistic reference was made to Mr. Saunders’s splendid work in tfce past as secretary and member of the committee. The date for the closing of entries for the season was fixed as Monday, October 17. It was decided to call a meeting of delegates of all clubu for the purpose of forming a junior committee next Tuesday evening. Tho Papakura CFp » advised thrtt it was unable to continue play this Season.
It. was resolved to ask all clubs to forward colours imnpediately.
