THAMES HIGH SCHOOL ANNUAL SPORTS

Preliminary events in connection with the Thames High School sports were held on Monday. A remarkable feature of the high jump was a tie for first between four competitors. Results are:— High Jump.—McMillan (4in), 4ft 111 in; Mortimer (sin), 4ft lljin. R. Court (Sin), 4ft 11 Jin: Snow (9in), 4ft lljin. The following championship points were gained: Seniors, Adams, 5; Faville, 2J; Lambert, 2A. Juniors, Snow, 5; Hoyle, 2; M. Baker. 2; K. Lawrence, 2. The mile championship (seniors, the Rudman Cup, and Juniors, the Morrissey Cup), will be run at the racecourse today (Wednesday).
