SECOND-HAND CRICKET GEAR IN DEMAND
<\ HARDY annual bobbed up again at the first meeting of the newly-elected Management Committee of the Auckland Cricket Association last evening, when a request was received from a country club, asking if the association had any second-hand cricket material to spare. “The answer is that there isn't any,” said a delegate. “It’s all being used.” “That reminds me,” said Mr. E. C. Beale, Auckland’s veteran cricket legislator, with a twinkle in his eye. “I had a ring on the phone the other day from a club which had just been formed, asking if we had any spare gear, and mentioning incidentally that it had not yet decided which association it would join.” (Laughter.)
